Roger Smith is a native of Middletown, Ohio where he and his wife of over 40 years, JoAnn reside. They have two adult children, Roger Aaron and Hilary Alexandria Smith and one granddaughter named Sydney.
He presently is employed at Abilities First a local non-profit organization that serves children with disabilities and special needs. He now serves as the Safety and Facility Specialist and has been with this organization for over 25 years in various capacities.
Roger serves as Senior Pastor of Bethlehem Temple First Pentecostal Church in Middletown, Ohio for over sixteen years. He served as an adjunct instructor at Aenon Bible College in Indiana, and Phillip’s Bible Institute in Cincinnati as well as a conference speaker.
He holds a Graduate of Theology Degree from Kentucky Mountain Bible College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Temple Baptist College in Cincinnati and a Master of Theology Degree from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, Georgia.
He is currently a Board member with Central Connections (formerly Senior Citizens), treasurer of the Middletown Area Ministerial Alliance and a volunteer for the Choice Program. His past community involvement includes a member of the Development Resource Department at the Middletown Community Foundation, volunteer for the Greater Cincinnati United Way Speakers’ Bureau, a member of the Miami University Community Engagement Council, volunteer for Junior Achievement, Board member for Citizens Against Domestic Violence (CADV), Board member for Job & Family Services of Middletown, a member of the Middletown Regional Hospital President’s Advisory Board, Instructional Auditor of the Middletown/Monroe City School System and a member of the Community Forum for Race Relations.
